setting up your hdtv


  1. connect the mio tv set-top box to your hdtv using component cables. some people have problems with hdmi cable.

  2. connect the mio tv set-top box to your sound system using rca cables, or use optical cable if possible.

  3. switch on the mio tv set-top box and the tv should appear

  4. now pay attention, this part is tricky, cant find it mentioned anywhere: how do you turn on the hi-def resolution on your mio tv set-top box? click the “menu” button

  5. press the right-arrow button till “settings” and click “ok” button

  6. press the right-arrow button till “channel guide”

  7. press the down-arrow button till “screen settings” and click “ok” button

  8. press arrow buttons and “ok” button to select “1080i” and confirm

took me a while to find this under “channel guide” menu. maybe they should put it under “general” menu instead.

    I give up on the HDMI connection. Everytime you get out of standby mode, the whole screen splits up. The top is showing the programm with the rest in pink !

    I tried using HDMI and component and I see no different. My problem lies in the fact that non HD channels are now squarish.
    When I first got the MIO, it used to be that the non hd channel would be fiiling up the screen and I have to adjust back to 16:9 whenever I watch hd 5. Now the non hd channel remained squarish whichever settings I choose.

    I have actually put up Samsung Universal driver first.
    And now my ml-1210 does not function and win 8
    limiting me from altering its driver to ml-2250, saying that current (not
    functioning) motorist is the much better one. Exactly
    how did you dealt with this?

    I was actually amazed to review that this teamed up with a Lexmark, however I Googled the E210 and it
    looks almost identical to the Samsung ML-1210 .
    .. So I suspect there are some inter-manufacturer resemblances
    that I was not familiar with.

    What concerning the colour printing. You ask which is less costly in B&W however exactly what concerning basic
    usage. My inkjet smears every color I attempt to publish.
    So is laser much better for all around high quality at
    an acceptable price.

    I've put up Samsung Universal vehicle driver initially. And now my ml-1210 does not operate and gain 8 limiting me from changing its motorist to ml-2250, claiming that existing (not functioning) motorist is the better one. Exactly how did you handled this?

    yes by looking at the clarity of the screen we get to know the HDMI Cable quality whether it's good or best and now a days we can find cheap quality cables at cheap prices under any online websites like HDMI Cables & Converters still better to have proper warranty attached
